INTRODUCTION

Welcome to my Magicka Templar build for Dragon Bones patch. This build is aimed at End-Game PvE content but works as it is on basic overland content.

Here you can find info on how to setup your attributes, what gear you should use, how to set your skill bars and champion points.

What weapon trait should I choose?

Nirnhoned on both Main and Backup Hand is the best choice overall and provides best balance between both AOE and single target damage.

Infused on Off Hand weapon is recommended to decrease the cooldown for your enchants.

Recommended choice is to go Nirnhoned on Main Hand, Infused Off Hand and Nirnhoned on Backup Hand weapon.

 

Don’t have access to some of the recommended gear or want to use something else? Here’s other options you can go with such as:

You can switch Zaan to Grothdarr.

You can use Julianos instead of Burning Spellweave or Mechanical Acuity.

You can also use Master Architect instead of Moondancer but remember to switch Shooting Star to Empowering Sweep if you do so.

If you need to, you can use Lightning Staff on the back bar instead of Inferno Staff.

Other:

You can use one Magicka Recovery glyph on your jewelry instead of Spell Damage. Damage loss is minimal.

You can switch around the places of abilities as long as you keep the same abilities on same bars. However you can switch places with Channeled Focus and Harness Magicka if you prefer to have your shield on back bar and buff on front bar.

Re-morph Dampen Magic to Harness Magicka

 

 

If you’re new to the game or Templar class in general, I suggest you to read carefully what the different abilities do, how much they cost, whats their duration, cast time etc. so you understand how you should rotate your abilities and how they work.

Before you enter combat, apply Channeled Focus to gain regeneration buff and little damage mitigation. Try to keep Channeled Focus refreshed whenever it runs out.
